Homemade Lemonade Recipe

Ingredients 2 cups granulated sugar ▢1 1/2 cups fresh lemon juice , about 6-8 lemons ▢4 ½ – 5 cups water , divided

In a saucepan, combine sugar and 2 cups of water over medium heat.

While stirring, bring to a boil until the sugar has dissolved. Gently chill the item off the heat to ambient temperature.

The lemon juice should be strained into a 2-quart receptacle using a fine-mesh sieve.

Stir in the simple syrup to combine. After refrigeration, chill. Stir in two and a half glasses of cold water just prior to serving.

Add additional water if the mixture is overly sugary. Plating over ice is optional.
