Maya's Perfect Pesto Pasta Salad

Instructions: – 1 (16 ounce) package corkscrew-shaped pasta (fusilli) – ¾ cup chopped fresh basil – ¾ cup shredded Parmesan cheese – ⅓ cup pine nut

– ⅓ cup extra-virgin olive oil – 1 clove garlic, diced – ½ cup finely diced red onion – ½ cup finely diced radicchio

– 1 tablespoon mayonnaise, or to taste – salt and ground black pepper to taste

1. Fill a big pot with water and add a little salt. Heat it until it boils. 2. Put the spiral-shaped pasta (fusilli) into the boiling water. Stir it now and then. It should cook for about 12 minutes until it's soft but still a bit firm.

3. Drain the cooked pasta. 4. Put basil, Parmesan cheese, pine nuts, oil, and garlic into a food processor. Blend them together to make pesto sauce.

5. Mix the pesto sauce with the drained pasta. 6. Add red onion, radicchio, and mayonnaise to the pasta mixture. Mix everything together well.

7. Sprinkle some salt and pepper to taste. 8. Put the pasta salad in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before you serve it.
