Naan Recipe – Chewy & Fluffy!

Ingredients: – 2 cups all-purpose flour – 1 teaspoon sugar – 1 teaspoon active dry yeast – 1/2 cup warm water – 1/4 cup plain yogurt – 2 tablespoons melted butter – 1/2 teaspoon salt – Additional flour for dusting

Instructions: 1. Activate the Yeast: In a small bowl, dissolve sugar in warm water. Sprinkle yeast over the water and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.

Mix the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine the activated yeast mixture with flour, yogurt, melted butter, and salt. Mix until a soft dough forms.

Knead the Dough: Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead it for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. Add more flour if the dough is too sticky.

Let it Rise: Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours until it doubles in size.

Divide and Shape: Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into small portions. Roll each portion into a ball and then flatten it into a circle or oval shape using a rolling pin.

Cook the Naan: Heat a skillet or tava over medium-high heat. Place a rolled-out naan onto the skillet and cook for about 1-2 minutes until bubbles start to appear on the surface.

Serve: Brush the cooked naan with melted butter and serve hot. Enjoy your homemade chewy and fluffy naan with your favorite curry or dip!
